About the Project

A direct bridge to the artisans

Culture Origins was created to build a direct bridge between Colombian artisans and people who value handmade art. We work hand in hand with weavers and emerging designers, ensuring fair payment for their work — without intermediaries — and honoring the value of their art and the preservation of their culture.

Wayuu Culture

A tradition woven through generations

The Wayuu people live in La Guajira, in northern Colombia, one of the country's largest indigenous territories. Their textile tradition is passed down from generation to generation: weaving is not just a craft, it's a way of telling family history, honoring ancestors, and expressing identity through every pattern and color.

The Value of Handmade

No two pieces are exactly alike

No Culture Origins piece is mass-produced. Every bag, every necklace, every pair of earrings is handwoven, thread by thread, by hands that master an ancestral technique. That means no two pieces are exactly alike — each one is as unique as the person who made it.
